Impression Validity

To maximize your monetization it’s essential to understand what makes an impression valid. We follow industry standards from IAB which involve three key requirements for an ad placement to generate a valid impression:

  • Size of placement: AdInMo SDK has a ‘Debug Size Threshold’ tool that developers can use to ensure the size of their placements meets these guidelines.
  • Time on screen: Brand ad placements must be onscreen for a total of at least 10 seconds of screen time, although the onscreen time can consist of 0.5 second or longer intervals.
  • Viewability: Ad placements should be clearly viewable and not heavily obscured by other game objects. The viewing angle of the placement should be no more than 55 degrees from the viewer in any plane. The goal is to ensure players can clearly see the InGamePlay brand ads on display in your game to count as a valid impression.

app.ads.txt helps the advertising industry combat fraud. It allows developers to identify themselves as the legitimate owner of an app. Always keeping your game’s app-ads.text up to date means AdInMo’s advertising network will be able to send you more traffic and maximize monetization.
